چکیده
Background and Aims : Recently a proposal has been advanced to change the traditional definition of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Metabolic Associated (MAFLD), reflect cluster metabolic abnormalities that may be more closely associated with cardiovascular risk. Long COVID is smoldering inflammatory condition, characterized by number symptom clusters. This study aims determine prevalence MAFLD in patients post-acute syndrome (PACS) its association other PACS-cluster phenotypes.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is associated with cardiovascular risk factors of metabolic syndrome.
AIM To evaluate the prevalence of steatosis and to assess its correlations with the classical cardiovascular (CV) risk factors, components of metabolic syndrome (MS) in a rural population. MATERIAL AND METHODS A sample of 254 subjects was enrolled in the study. Collected data included: age, gender, complete medical history, anthropometric and blood pressure (BP) measurements. The biological e...
متن کاملRe: soft drink consumption is associated with fatty liver disease independent of metabolic syndrome.
BACKGROUND/AIMS The independent role of soft drink consumption in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) patients remains unclear. We aimed to assess the association between consumption of soft drinks and fatty liver in patients with or without metabolic syndrome. METHODS We recruited 31 patients (age: 43+/-12 years) with NAFLD and risk factors for metabolic syndrome, 29 patients with NAFL...

In the last 15 years evidence has been accumulating suggesting that hepatic steatosis may be the starting point for a progressive liver disease. Nonalcoholic steatosis (nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, NAFLD) is now considered a metabolic pathway to advanced liver disease, cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Liver disease of other etiology, namely hepatitis C virus, may interact with NAFLD...
متن کاملNonalcoholic fatty liver disease: a manifestation of the metabolic syndrome.
Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has become the most common form of liver disease, affecting 20% to 30% of the US population. Its clinical manifestations are usually absent or subtle, and it usually comes to medical attention incidentally when aminotransferase levels are found to be elevated or a radiographic study reveals that the liver is fatty. Primary NAFLD is now considered the hep...
متن کاملNonalcoholic fatty liver disease: a feature of the metabolic syndrome.
Insulin sensitivity (euglycemic clamp, insulin infusion rate: 40 mU. m(-2). min(-1)) was studied in 30 subjects with biopsy-proven nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), normal glucose tolerance, and a BMI <30 kg/m(2). Of those 30 subjects, 9 had pure fatty liver and 21 had evidence of steatohepatitis. In addition, 10 patients with type 2 diabetes under good metabolic control and 10 healthy ...
